Christianity is a world religion that started out as an Asian religion. In this course we will study the expansion and nature of the Church and its teachings in Asia. This course will provide easy access to facts about the Asian Church which are often difficult to find. We will learn about early legends, focus on studying translations of primary texts from Syriac, and learn about the history and nature of the Church outside the Roman Empire in the period from 40CE to 781CE.
