CONDITIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS
To apply for the PhD in Philosophy, you must have completed a Master of Arts in Philosophy (i.e., a "master 120", "MA 2" or a "master 2") and have obtained a grade higher than 14/20. This means, since the end of high school, the student must have obtained a Bachelor's degree and a Master's degree, totaling 300 ECTS.
The student presents a dissertation project with supporting arguments, accompanied by a specialized bibliography on the chosen subject.
The student has the support of a dissertation director and an accompanying committee (2 other teacher-researchers in the specialization)
ACADEMIC FEES
The fees are €2800 per academic year. The PhD programme lasts 3 academic years which can be spread over several calendar years.
Upon your initial registration for the PhD1 program, you will be asked to pay the file fees equivalent to 120 euros.
STUDY PATH
At the end of the first year, candidates submit an application for final approval of their research proposal to the Director of the Doctoral School. The project must be signed by the thesis supervisor. The final project will consist of an oral presentation which will be evaluated by the jury present. This exam should be passed for entry into the second year.
At the end of the second year, candidates must submit a written report on the status of their research and present it orally at the “Doctoriales” session. This exam should be passed for entry into the third year.
At the end of the third year, the Director authorizes the official submission of the thesis, after the two co-directors have drafted a report, justifying the final oral defense.
DOCTORAL TRAINING
The student must validate 60 ECTS credits (courses, seminars, participation in symposia or national or international congresses, publications in journals, study days, etc.)
THE PROGRAMME
This programme provides an opportunity to conduct major research in a stimulating environment. It prepares for a university career, but also for the practice of various functions which require an ability to independently consider complex questions requiring a broad and deep vision. Among other things, it enables students to develop an extraordinary competence to write detailed texts, clearly and methodically presenting new results.

Due to the large number of experts teaching at Domuni, it is often possible to find a dissertation director, but this is not always the case.
FLEXIBILITY FOR THE PHD IN PHILOSOPHY
It is possible to study anywhere, at home or on the road.
It is also possible, because of the asynchronous teaching system, to study while having professional or family responsibilities. Any available time can be utilized, even commuting time, since the courses are also accessible via smartphone.
