Domuni introduces significant educational innovations to support students. Interactive methodology seminars are now available for undergraduate students and those pursuing a certificate. Additionally, live mentoring sessions are regularly organized to bring together interested teachers and students.

Interactive Methodology Seminars

The interactive methodology seminars are designed to enhance the skills of undergraduate students or those enrolled in a certificate program.

They offer an in-depth training on the basics of academic work, addressing various essential aspects of study and academic research. These seminars complement methodology courses with a participatory and interactive approach.

The interactive seminars are divided into two complementary sessions. In the autumn, students learn the basics of a discipline-specific reasoned argument, along with the tools and resources necessary to carry it out. In the spring, they put the principles studied into practice in a workshop spirit. For example, they learn how to construct a problem statement, develop a plan, write a scientific paper, prepare a bibliography, and deliver an oral presentation. They also acquire technical skills such as designing a presentation support (PowerPoint).

The interactive seminars are intentionally limited to groups of 10 to 15 students, each directly supervised by a teacher specializing in pedagogy.

Four interactive methodology seminars are offered: theology, philosophy, history, and art history.

  • The autumn session runs from October 7 to November 11, 2024.
  • The spring session runs from April 28 to June 2, 2025.

Live Mentoring Sessions

Mentoring is enhanced to support students. Live mentoring sessions are organized online every fortnight, covering all disciplines. Mentoring, in addition to academic support and specific study assistance, includes a broader relationship, encompassing personal and professional development. The live mentoring sessions are available to those who wish to participate.

The live mentoring sessions are interactive online sessions where students can connect in real time with a mentor and other students.

These sessions provide direct and personalized exchange, facilitating learning, the development of specific skills, and the resolution of academic problems. They are designed to offer immediate and interactive support, thus fostering a collaborative and dynamic learning environment.

The live sessions are scheduled throughout the academic year, from October to July, every first Monday of the month at noon and every third Thursday of the month at 7 PM (Paris time, UTC +2).

For the 2024-2025 academic year, sessions are scheduled for October 7 (12 PM), October 17 (7 PM), November 4 (12 PM), November 21 (7 PM), December 2 (12 PM), December 19 (7 PM), January 6 (12 PM), January 16 (7 PM), February 3 (12 PM), February 20 (7 PM), March 3 (12 PM), March 20 (7 PM), April 7 (12 PM), April 24 (7 PM), May 5 (12 PM), May 22 (7 PM), June 2 (12 PM), June 19 (7 PM), July 7 (12 PM), and July 17 (7 PM).

These sessions will help students develop essential skills such as organization, time management, and self-confidence, as well as address any study-related questions. These regular live sessions, accessible with a simple click, allow students to connect directly with their mentor and other participants, whether at home or on the go.

Like the interactive methodology seminars, these sessions are limited to 10 to 15 students to ensure smooth discussion and personalized support.

To implement these initiatives, Domuni will rely on a renewed team of teacher-mentors and tutors, who will start at the beginning of the academic year.

Stay tuned to discover their names and faces soon.
