Communiqué - Life of the Faculties and Academic Appointment

As part of the ongoing development of the academic offerings at Domuni-Universitas, new courses are now available:

Histoire de la notion de culture, taught by Prof. Claude Valentin, a French national, explores the concept of culture at the crossroads of history, anthropology, and philosophy. This course adopts a transdisciplinary approach to better understand the evolution and contemporary challenges of this fundamental concept.

Filosofía del Derecho: El diálogo transintersubjetivo y el derecho emergente. El regreso del derecho sinodal, delivered in Spanish by Abogado (Master) Juan Pablo Albornoz Kokot, an Argentinian national, highlights the role of intersubjective dialogue in the emergence of a synodal and participatory legal framework, blending contemporary legal and philosophical reflections.

Decolonisation of International Development, a course in English led by Dr. Stanslaus Muyebe, OP, a South African national, examines the complex issues of decolonisation in international development while inviting critical reflection on its historical and contemporary dynamics.

The Political Economy of Developing Nations, also offered by Dr. Muyebe in English, equips students with analytical tools and conceptual frameworks to address the complexities of the political economy of developing nations.

Oriental Patrology, taught in Arabic by Dr. Dahlia Azeez, an Iraqi national, delves into Oriental patristic texts, offering in-depth insights into the theological and spiritual richness of this tradition.

La prière dans le judaïsme et le christianisme, a course in Arabic taught by Dr. Rose Abi Aad, a Lebanese national, provides a comparative study of the practices and spiritual dimensions of prayer in these two religious traditions.
These new courses enhance the institution’s academic offerings and are now available to students, aligning with Domuni-Universitas’ efforts to meet the diverse needs of its academic community.
Additionally, Ms. Élodie Saccharin, a French national, has been appointed as Academic Coordinator effective January 15, 2025. An experienced instructional designer, Ms. Saccharin will bring her expertise to ensure the quality and organization of academic programs. Her role will include coordinating tutoring and mentoring, as well as supporting faculty in the design, organization, and implementation of their courses to ensure an optimal learning experience.
These initiatives reflect Domuni-Universitas’ ongoing commitment to academic excellence and personalized student support. The Rectorate welcomed Ms. Saccharin during the extended board meeting held on Tuesday, January 21, 2025. Throughout the week, the academic teams convened to start 2025 with a focus on collaboration and innovation.
