RECTOR'S LETTER FOR FEBRUARY 2025

25 february 2025
Dear students, dear professors,
Madagascar, this February, has been a land of encounters and hope. There, on this island where the ocean and the sky seem to merge into a single horizon, we encountered a youth ablaze not only with the fire of youth itself, but with an unquenchable thirst for knowledge, a passion that transcends borders and oceans.
The faces we met, the voices we heard, reminded us of a simple yet profound truth: intelligence knows no boundaries, knowledge has no center, and thanks to the gift of the internet, the peripheries become the very heart of thought. In alignment with its mission, Domuni Universitas found in Madagascar a land of resonance for its bold vision: to unite minds, to erase distances, and to transform the world into a vast amphitheater where researchers, students, and scholars engage in dialogue.
Amid the excitement of these exchanges, we witnessed the birth of vocations, the opening of academic pathways, and the emergence of new projects. Like a fire that spreads without consuming itself, knowledge circulates, enlightens, and bears fruit. What we shared there, in the Indian Ocean, was more than a fleeting moment—it was a promise. A promise of knowledge without borders, of a university community built not around a place, but around a shared commitment and a common purpose.
May this youth—both in heart and mind—inspire us all. And may Domuni’s adventure continue to resonate, from Madagascar to the four corners of the world.
