Rector's Letter for October 2024
21 october 2024
Dear Students and Colleagues,
I am writing to you from Cairo, a city rich with a thousand stories, where our Board has gathered for these opening days of the academic year, close to regions still affected by conflicts that, unfortunately, continue to shake our world. It is striking to think that Domuni Universitas breathes with two lungs: one in the West, the other in the East. Two worlds that engage in dialogue, challenge each other, yet share the same aspiration for truth and peace.
Here, at the crossroads of civilizations, we fully feel this fruitful duality, this momentum that carries us beyond visible and invisible boundaries. We have chosen to be a university without walls, without limits, and our two lungs, the East and the West, breathe together a spirit of dialogue, hope, and sharing.
May this year be, for each of you, an opportunity to draw from this dual breath the strength to think, to question, and to build a more fraternal world.
With all my care and consideration,
Dr. Marie MONNET, op
Rector
